NEW REGULATIONS ON PROOF OF EC DELIVERIES TAKE EFFECT IN OCTOBER
On October 1, 2013, the new regulations will take effect, albeit in a less stringent form. In cases of shipment, the freight forwarder’s certificate remains sufficient, but it must now clearly state that the transfer has taken place. In cases where the supplier handles the transport or the recipient picks up the goods, however, the certificate is mandatory. A new provision is that it is also acceptable in electronic form if it originates from the recipient’s email account.
